Roger B. Thompson

Roger B. Thompson is  from the Cattaraugus Territory of the Seneca Nation of Indians. He graduated from Woodstock Union High School in 1981 and later had the opportunity to attend Philadelphia College or Art, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Arts and Illustration in 1985.

Thompson has worked most of his life with two-dimensional artwork, but has the ability to work with an array of mediums such as acrylic, watercolor, wood burning, charcoal, pen and ink, stained glass and carving. He currently is a free lance artist.

Roger’s work has been shown at the Arnak Art Gallery, Kenneth Young Gallery, Cedar Arts Center, Houghton College, the Seneca-Iroquois National Museum, the Community Gallery of Lancaster and many more. Roger has also been commissioned by the Seneca Nation of Indians to illustrate and design countless materials for different departments over the last thirty years including posters, logos, books, children’s coloring books, murals and signs.
