About the Seneca Iroquois Museum

“The Seneca - Iroquois National Museum is located on the Seneca’s Allegany Territory, in Salamanca, NY. The Museum was established in 1977, built with settlement funds from the US government’s Kinzua Dam development, which flooded 10,000 acres of aboriginal territory, including home-sites, community centers, burial grounds. The museum features permanent exhibits of Seneca and Iroquois artifacts, including beadwork, baskets, cornhusk items, pottery, dress, tools, and artwork.

The Seneca Iroquois Museum is owned and operated by the Seneca Nation of Indians.

Season: Open Year-round  Closed January

 

Summer Hours: May 1- Oct.31: Monday - Saturday 9AM-5PM; Sundays 12 Noon - 5PM

Winter Hours: Nov. 1 - April 30: Monday - Friday; 9AM – 5PM

Admission: $5 Adults; $3.50 Seniors/*College Students ; $3 Children (7-16) ;Under 7 Free. Group Rates (based on a minimum of 20 persons): Adults: $4; Senior/*College Students:$3 ; Children (7-16) $3; Under 7: Free. *College Students must show valid ID.
